Journal It!

Minister Sondria McWilliams
Summer Quarter 2022

If you have never started a Thankful Journal, I highly recommend you do so starting today. Why? We live from our hearts and a heart that is thankful does not feel or experience dissatisfaction (Prov 4.23). For us to start the day writing down at least five things that we're thankful for creates optimism, wholeness, and a feeling of abundance.

Secondly, when we pray, it immediately moves us to enter into the presence of God with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise, which we are encouraged to do (Psalm 100:4).

Although there are many more reasons, I love the teaching of, Staying Full of God, by Andrew Wommack. He says, “To not be thankful is to become discontent, and that can create negative emotions that will affect our bodies."

Let coffee be a real choice and not a feeling of "I have to have it to get my morning started”. This is definitely a great way to walk in the spirit so that we will not fulfill the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).
