Not A Dime

The most rewarding and therapeutic life habits are almost free. Having had made my bed, cleaned my home, prayed, read, journaled, walked, and taken communion has made my morning exceptional, and it cost me almost nothing.

The Lord made it so that we all could enjoy our lives with Him. He has a plan and purpose for each and every one of us and He would be unjust to put it out of our reach.

What is also interesting to me is Psalms 46:10 which says, “Be still and know that I am God.” Now that definitely is free, but most of us find it the hardest thing to do. His blessings are absolutely free, but may cost us some self sacrificing.

There are scriptures that come to mind that definitely confirm God’s just ways. Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we put on?’ Matthew 6:31. Now, these things definitely cost, but we are encouraged to make it a priority to do that which is free first. In verse 33 it says, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

What we really need to do to have peace and joy does not cost us a dime. If we first put forth an effort to renew our minds through prayer and study, our loving Father will lead us and open doors to the things we know we also cannot enjoy life without. I love how Terri Savelle Foy says it in her book, THE ALONE ADVANTAGE. “God wants to give you the healing, the wisdom, the direction you so desperately desire. He wants to reveal His next steps for your life and even give you those God-inspired ideas that produce great wealth.”

Having the power and ability to enjoy everyday of your life and it not cost you much of anything is the Lord.  I can definitely see how He made it that way.

“The best things in life are free.

The second best are very expensive.”
