We are in the world but we do have a King. Jesus preached the kingdom. The parable of the sower is how the kingdom works.
Mark 4:14-19
The first type of person in this parable; the word of God goes in one ear and immediately blows out the other. The second type of person gets excited about the word but when he/she experiences any hardship, the word is uprooted.
The third type of person hears the word but the cares of this world choke any fruit. The Lord is asking us to trust Him with our cares. Our cares have the power to worry us. When we worry we cut ourselves off from life and peace. The word of God tells us to cast our cares upon him because He cares for us. I Peter 5:7. Know that God’s word can and will change everything.
The fourth type of (heart) person produces fruit; thirty, sixty, a hundred. “This person understands that the Bible is not like any other book. It’s different. It’s alive. God’s word contains His life in it.” “ If you would take His words, His sayings and put them on the inside of you, then God’s kind of life would start flowing through you.” Andrew Wommack.
