Are You Established In Righteousness?

I love this question that my sister asked all of us at our last bible study: “How do you know that you are established in righteousness?” Having a revelation that we are righteous by faith comes first.
But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the law and prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. Romans 3:21-22.
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ. Galatians 2:16.
And be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own from the law, but one that is through faith in Christ- the righteousness from God based on faith. Philippians 3:9
To be established in something means that it is settled, it is prevailing and it has become your norm. Being established in righteousness has allowed me to always come boldly to the throne of grace. It has made me conscious of Christ, not of my sin and not of my faults and failures which cause guilt and shame. It has empowered me to enjoy a covenant relationship with the Lord. I am confident that He would never leave me nor forsake me.
The affects of having faith that you have been made righteous not by the law but by faith, is the key to ruling and reigning in this life. Romans 5:17.
Proverbs 12:26a says, ”A righteous person (me) should choose his friends carefully”.
